Introducing Knutsford Childminding (established 1994)
Hello, my name is Sarah and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I was graded Outstanding by Ofsted at my last inspection. I work with my partner Nigel, who is also an Ofsted registered childminder and a qualified chef.
I run my childminding business from my house in rural Cheshire, which is also home to a small e-book writing venture. It all started when I wrote up some notes about multicultural activities for a friend and she said she thought they were good enough to sell. Now I have over 30 e-books for sale on my website.
My e-books cover many subjects relevant to childminders working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), such as planning and the EYFS, observations and the EYFS, completing a Self Evaluation form (SEF), paperwork and the EYFS, music and rhymes and many other planning books.

Qualifications
- I have been a childminder for 15 years and I have 2 children;
- I have a BA Audiology and Education (Man, 1986), NVQ3 Early Years, Childcare and Education, NCMA Quality First, Paediatric First Aid certificate, basic Food Hygiene qualification and I regularly attend courses to keep up-to-date;
- I have recently passed my Foundation Degree in Early Years with the Open University!
My vacancy details
- I accept enquiries from parents with children aged from 3 months to 16 years;- I use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to help me observe, assess and plan for each child’s individual learning and development;
- I meet and exceed the legal requirements of the EYFS at all times;
- I work closely with parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential;
- I have a dedicated indoor play area and a large, child-friendly garden with all weather awning;
- I take children on regular outings and they have daily access outside;
- I plan for a wide variety of group and individualised activities for each child, every day.
Babies - it may reassure you to know that I have taken many of my charges from babyhood to age 5 and still see them now, in school uniform - some at High School! I also chose to do a section of my NVQ3 Early Years, Childcare and Education on babies.
Schools - I pick-up and drop-off at Manor Park and St Vincent’s Nurseries and schools.
